ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, while addressing the handing over the ceremony of the newly-built dual seater JF-17B Thunder jets here at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra, termed the inclusion of jets in national fleet as a significant milestone achieved in the history of the country. He said the JF-17 Thunder was proved as a battle tested aircraft during successful expression of mastery in Operation Swift Retort against IAF intrusion of territorial sovereignty on February 27, 2019.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan may have admitted that the fake pilots issue was mishandled but Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has refused to take responsibility for the damage his statement did to the Pakistan International Airline. Talking to Shahzeb Khanzada on Geo News’ Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Saath show on Wednesday, the PTI minister downplayed the matter by saying that every airline in the world was suffering losses.

ISLAMABAD: The debate over inducting latest fighter jets to control skies intensified in Pakistan and India right after the latter received Rafale fighter jets from France. However, the vigorous debate has now shifted to the Chinese-made J-20 stealth fighter jet because defence analysts say that it will be the real game changer in the region.The defence expert said that the only other fighter jet that can be compared with J-20 is the US-made F-35 and whoever in Pakistan and India gets any of these jets first will have an edge over the other.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Wednesday formally inducted the JF-17 Thunder Block II dual-seater fighter aircraft into its fleet and also launched the production of Block III of the same aircraft, a significant advance in the country’s air defense arsenal.the Pakistani air chief and the Chinese ambassador also inaugurated the production of the latest Block III of JF-17, multirole fighter aircraft, which is believed to be equivalent to that of Rafael jets.
JF-17 Block III fighters will apparently receive a new electronic warfare system, upgraded avionics including a three-axis fly-by-wire digital flight control system, a helmet-mounted display and sight system, and Pakistan’s first Chinese-made active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar system. Two such radar systems are currently under evaluation, according to the PAF Air Chief: the Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology’s KLJ-7A radar and the Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute’s (LETRI) LKF601E.
